10 Students burn to death in Tanzania
10 pupils burnt beyond recognition today in a fire that broke out in a school dormitory in Tanzania, leaving seven others hospitalised. The dormitory was accommodating boys aged six to 10 years, before the fire broke out and left 10 dead and seven critically injured and hospitalised.
The fire started at one of the dormitories of Byamungu English Medium Primary School in north-western of Tanzania's Kagera region at around 04:30 EAT. The police have began investigations in order to establish the causality of the fire. This calls for authorities to enhance safety across all institutions as in July three students died in Dar es Salaam at Ilala Islamic Secondary School and so have other Schools across Africa burnt down due to technical faults.
